Parking spot fight at Ga Walmart results in Lexus smacking teen girl

There are all sorts of reasons people get into fights, one of which is fighting over parking spaces. For instance, one recent parking spot fight occurred at, naturally, a Walmart in Georgia, where a woman in a Lexus SUV tried to ram a girl standing in a spot and holding it for a friend.
School board member rams teenager in parking spot fight
Anglea Cornett, a member of the Barlow County Schools school board has resigned her post and been arrested for allegedly ramming a teenage girl in a Walmart parking lot in Cartersville, Ga., in a parking spot fight recently, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Cornett was finding a spot to park her Lexus SUV when she noticed a spot she wanted was being occupied by a 17-year old girl, who was saving the spot for a friend.
Cornett told the girl to move and then feathered the gas pedal. Luckily the car wasn’t traveling too fast, as the vehicle lurched forward and bent the girl over the hood. Tire marks were visible on her jeans. Cornett was arrested on charges of reckless endangerment but claimed the girl jumped onto the car.
Not the only one
Cornett’s story about the teen jumping on her car doesn’t wash with the video. Anyone that cares that much about a parking space is clearly bonkers, unless they’re a disabled person that actually does need it. Unfortunately, parking spot fights break out all the time.
In White Marsh, Md., one Brandy Ames, according to CBS Baltimore, allegedly rammed two people with her Oldsmobile in Sept. 2012, at a shopping mall in White Marsh. Incensed a Volkswagen had taken “her” space, she yelled at the occupants, who had exited the vehicle. She fought with a passenger from the VW, got in her car, rammed said passenger, backed up, rammed the driver and fled. A third person wrote down her license plate number, which police used to track her down and arrest her for assault.

According to the Boston.com, six were arrested after all got involved in a parking spot fight in Salem, Mass., on Sunday, Dec. 16. Two elderly Catholic priests fought over a parking spot in Perth, Australia in Nov. 2012, according to The Examiner, and during the fisticuffs, one of them bit the other man’s earlobe off. Talk about turning the other cheek.
Clearly that is bat-crap crazy
Granted, it’s nice to get a parking spot close to wherever it is you’re going and if one just bought, say a new Taurus SHO from Gus Johnson cars in Spokane, Wa., you definitely want to park well enough away so it doesn’t get smacked.
People talk about “entitlements” being one of the downfalls of the U.S. In this case it would seem people think they’re entitled to exactly the parking spot they want everywhere, all the time, and unless one actually has their own bespoke spot, say a doctor or professor, that just isn’t the case. Honestly, if one actually gets worked up over a parking spot – a parking spot – they aren’t playing with a full deck.
