Ford has given the Taurus a significant update for 2013. The most notable changes come in the form of a pair of new engines. A 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is now available that improves fuel economy significantly. The standard 3.5L V6 has also been given a redesign so it makes more power more efficiently. A new front fascia and other updated styling tweaks change up the exterior of the car, while a new torque vectoring system and electronic power steering round out the mechanical changes for the 2013 Taurus. The high-performance SHO is now offered with a Performance Package that offers 20-inch wheels, bigger brakes, a better cooling system and a shorter final drive ratio for increased acceleration.
