2012 GT-R Changes
For 2012, the Nissan GT-R is getting a power boost from its twin-turbo V6 engine; this year it's at 530 horsepower, up from 485 last year, due to some breathing and turbocharging improvements. Also for 2012, stability is improved through improved aerodynamics and increased downforce--which also increases high-speed stability. The GT-R's front and rear fascias have also been redesigned, with the rear one resculpted entirely. Front LED running lamps have been added as well, and inside, the GT-R gets upgraded materials and new carbon-fiber trim. New 20-inch wheels, designed by RAYS, are also added to the package. Two new colors--Deep Blue Pearl and Jet Black--have been added to the lineup.
In the U.S., the GT-R remains available only at special 'GT-R Certified' dealerships.
