Vehicle Information

The Q7 packs a lot of safety and luxury features into a large SUV. It's longer than almost any other luxury SUV (only the Mercedes-Benz GL beats it by a half inch), with lots of room for seven passengers in comfy leather seats. The NHTSA bestowed a 5-star crash-test rating on the Q7, and the IIHS granted it "Top Safety Pick" status. Opting for the TDI clean diesel engine adds extra value in the form of fuel economy, with 17 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

2011 Q7 Changes
The Audi Q7 returns for 2011 with some important changes. Chief among them, the 3.6L V6 and 4.2L V8 have been replaced by a supercharged 3.0L supercharged V6, which comes in two distinct flavors. The low-output unit produces 272 hp and 295 lb-feet of torque, while the high-output engine puts out 333 hp and 325 lb-feet. That engine is also found in the high-performance S4 and is enough to propel Q7s so equipped from 0 to 60 mph in 6.9 seconds, with a top speed of 151 mph. EPA estimate fuel economy for both engines is 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway.

All this new power is delivered to the quattro all-wheel-drive system through a new 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with Dynamic Shift Program (DSP).
