2010 Cayenne Changes
Big news for the 2010 Porsche Cayenne line is the addition of a new gas/electric hybrid version as well as a limited edition S Transsyberia model. The hybrid is what Porsche calls a "full hybrid," which means it can run on either one of its two power sources independently or together, depending on driving needs. The gas engine is a direct-injected 3.0L Audi V6, which is joined by an electric drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission, and Porsche claims the combination delivers 385 horsepower and 25% better fuel economy than a regular V6-equipped Cayenne. The S Transsyberia model features unique exterior styling, available off-road lights, and four additional colors, as well as the 4.8L 405-horsepower engine from the GTS. The GTS sees the addition of new 21-inch wheels and Porsche's Air Suspension Management, which allows the driver to select between sport and comfort modes. The Turbo S also gets new 21-inch wheels and Air Suspension Management, as well as a new exterior color and several new interior styling options.
