2009 Avenger Changes
Following its introduction in 2008, the Dodge Avenger receives few changes for 2009. For starters, the lineup shrinks, as the base SE has been dropped, leaving only the SXT and R/T models. The availability of all-wheel drive has also been dropped.Extra noise-reducing materials have been added to the Avenger, and SXT and R/T models now feature anti-lock brakes, a rear spoiler, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls and fog lamps as standard equipment. The R/T also adds 18-inch chrome wheels and various interior convenience items to its list of standards.
