The two-seat 2008 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class roadster rides the line between high-performance and ultra-luxury. The V12 SL600 is especially exclusive and the SL55 and SL65 AMG versions really bring out the potential in these cars. The top SL65 AMG model is nearly twice the price of the SL550, but offers performance that can beat some exotic nameplates. 2008 SL-Class Changes
For 2008, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class line is mostly unchanged. The SL550 gets new standard 18-inch wheels with a revised design. Newly available on the 2008 SL550 are Nappa leather seats. Base prices increase modestly across the line, from the SL550 at $95,300 to the SL65 AMG at $187,200.
