2007 Avalanche Changes
The Chevy Avalanche, completely redesigned for 2007, is based on GM's new, full-size SUV platform. It features more power and fuel economy, a leaner and more agile looking design, a refined interior, and more safety equipment. All 2007 Avalanche engines offer Active Fuel Management and variable valve timing, and the ability to run on E85, a renewable fuel consisting of 15% gasoline and 85% ethanol.
Inside, by lowering the instrument panel and deepening the windshield, the Avalanche's interior is roomier, airier, and more comfortable. In addition, the redesigned Avalanche has more substantial seats with easier entry.
Avalanche can be configured with a full safety system of occupant protection and crash-avoidance technology including available head curtain side air bags and standard StabiliTrak stability control system with rollover mitigation technology.
Warranty coverage is increased for 2007, with a new five-year or 100,000-mile powertrain warranty that's fully transferable and includes roadside assistance for the full period.
The ¾ ton Avalanche and 8.1L V8 engine were discontinued for the 2007 model year.
