Commercial
Volkswagen vehicles have been built with a relatively simple goal - to make vehicle luxury and quality available to just about anybody. In September of 2005, Volkswagen was the first carmaker to be certified as ISO 14000 environmental protection standards compliant. Volkswagen vehicles, in short, are committed to the highest quality at an affordable price.
The resurgence of Volkswagen
For a few years in the '90s and early 2000s, Volkswagen vehicles were not well-reviewed or well-received in the United States. However, the company made several major changes to manufacturing, models, and design. These manufacturing changes had a near-immediate effect on the popularity of Volkswagen vehicles. The Volkswagen GTI, Passat and Jetta have all been very highly ranked in the last five years. As of 2011, Volkswagen is the third largest automaker in the world.
Environmental responsibility and quality
Volkswagen vehicles are especially well-known for their diesel engines. The diesel engines manufactured by Volkswagen are used in a wide variety of vehicles. Diesel engines are some of the most fuel-efficient non-hybrid engines available on the market today, and a decade's worth of Volkswagen diesel engines are able to run on 100 percent biodiesel. Current clean diesel engines can run on up to 5 percent biodiesel blends while maintaining the warranty on the vehicle. The company's manufacturing procedures are also ISO 14000 certified, which means that the vehicle manufacturing procedures have been reviewed for safety and environmental protection.
A wide variety of options
Though the Volkswagen line began with a few basic vehicles, you can now get Volkswagens in just about any size and shape. The full range of Volkswagens cover classics, sedans and even a hauling option. No matter what you need, Volkswagen has your options covered.
